Basic Mechanical Engineering: A Practical Approach is primarily intended for the undergraduate degree/diploma students of different institutions and universities across the country. Basic Mechanical Engineering: A Practical Approach is written precisely to cater the needs of I/II Semester Engineering/Diploma Students. It is based on the revised syllabus, keeping in mind the difficulties faced by students in understanding the concept and theoretical aspects of experiments conducted in the laboratory. The subject matter in this Basic Mechanical Engineering: A Practical Approach covers the basic course on mechanical engineering being taught in different institutions and universities across the country. An attempt has been made to explain the concept of each and every chapter, along with relevant theory, description, and step by step procedure for conducting the experiment. Each chapter has been provided with a sufficient number of wide-ranging illustrations. At the end of each chapter, relevant questions have also been added for the students.

Prof. Sachin Kumar Nikam is an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department in Lakshmi Narain College of Technology, Bhopal. He has more than 10 years of vast teaching experience. Prof. Kamlesh Sahu is an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department in Bhopal Bhopal Institute of Technology & Science, Bhopal.
