"You are born of sun, moon, and shadow. Wherever your path leads . . . death will follow."

An uneasy calm has settled over the Fae Realm of Aemoria. But as long as the Shadowbringer lives, it's only a matter of time before the fragile peace is shattered once more.

Nova has thrown herself into the demands of her life in the Lunar Court. Though nightmares no longer haunt her sleep, she senses something stalking her from the shadows. When death comes for her, breaching the walls of the Silvergard Estate, Nova unleashes a magic found only in legend. In the aftermath, an unlikely ally reveals she alone may be the key to defeating the Shadowbringer once and for all.

By the time the bargain tethering him to the Winter Court draws to a close, Callan has nurtured a budding kinship with the folk of Nivali. Still, nothing will keep him from answering Nova's call for aid. Torn between duty and devotion, he contends with a difficult choice: follow the path his uncle has laid for him or forge one of his own.

Reunited, Nova and Callan embark on an epic quest, braving deadly trials in search of a cursed blade. Thrust into new alliances and forced to question bonds once thought unbreakable, the couple clings to the strength and solace they find in one another.

As the darkness draws near in the battle for the fate of Aemoria, they must decide whether saving the Realm is worth the risk-to their lives and their love.
