Learn to use the best-of-breed methods and tools for success in any project.
There are so many things that can fail on a project. It can be daunting. Failure to complete on time. Failure to stay under budget. Many projects fail to deliver a viable product that satisfies the needs of the customer. These and a multitude of other failures are usually the result of poor project management. Although there are many methods for managing projects, most are inadequately understood. Project managers often fail to choose the appropriate management method for a given project. Sometimes they choose the correct method but fail to use it properly. Fortunately, there is a resource that will teach you to use the most up-to-date tools and methods for project management.
Effective Project Management provides updated and expanded coverage of all major project management methods, including Traditional, Agile, and Extreme. This market-leading guide offers step-by-step instructions, in-depth case studies, flowcharts, figure and tables, and more, in a single, easy-to-understand volume.
Author Robert K. Wysocki's winning approach to project management has been helping practitioners and students alike for over two decades. He presents the pros and cons of each method and shows readers how to select and use best-of-breed project management tools and templates for each management task. Now in its eighth edition, this popular guide includes four chapters of new material and a streamlined content structure that incorporates feedback from instructors and students of previous editions.
