Über den Autor

Mary Creaner is an Assistant Professor, research co-ordinator, and clinical supervisor with the Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Course Director for the [...]./[...]. Diploma in Clinical Supervision, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. Having commenced her career in education, Mary subsequently qualified as a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor prior to beginning her academic career in Trinity College. She has been involved in developing and delivering a variety of academic and adult education programmes together with professional development training in this area for over 25 years.

Mary also works in private practice and is accredited as a therapist and supervisor by the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), is a registered supervisor with the European Association for Supervision and Coaching (EASC) and a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), APA Division 17 (Counselling Psychology) and APA Supervision and Training Special Section. She also acts as a consultant to statutory and voluntary agencies and is a peer reviewer for a number of academic journals.

Mary has a particular interest in clinical supervision theory, practice and research which was the subject of her doctoral inquiry from which the MSc/PGrad. Dip in Clinical Supervision programme collaboratively emerged. She also has a keen interested in practitioner research and qualitative research methodologies. Mary has a number of publications primarily in the area of psychological therapy, supervision and research. She has presented her work both nationally and internationally.
