Circuit oscillations resulting from electromechanical resonances affect the parameters of the energy network, reducing the quality of the generated energy and affecting the occurrence of undesirable modes in the electrical network. Torsional oscillations can occur in all units that have rotating moving parts. Researches of measures on struggle against a subsynchronous resonance allow to reveal the most effective methods of damping of torsional vibrations. The methods of torsional vibration damping significantly increase the service life of rotors, shafts of turbine units, internal combustion engines, etc.
