Participation is still regarded as a positive label and thus as a term that carries a favourable connotation. This dissertation aims to contribute to the structuring of the field by defining participation more narrowly and proposing an alternative term for a specific type of theatrical work and elements of theme parks: the concept of involvement. The concept behind the term is developed through a comparison of theatrical works and elements of theme parks, examined on the basis of productions by SIGNA, Rimini Protokoll and Felix Ruckert, as well as various set-ups within theme parks. In comparing these two areas, which so far have been considered as separate, it becomes apparent that they share more in common than is generally assumed. / Partizipation gilt nach wie vor als positives Label und damit als aufwertender Begriff. Diese Arbeit möchte dabei einen Beitrag zur Strukturierung des Feldes leisten, indem sie Partizipation enger definiert und für einen bestimmten Typ theatraler Arbeiten und Bestandteile des Themenparks einen alternativen Begriff vorschlägt: den Begriff der Involvierung. Dieser wird im Rahmen einer Gegenüberstellung von theatralen Arbeiten und Elementen des Themenparks entwickelt, die anhand der Inszenierungen von SIGNA, Rimini Protokoll und Felix Ruckert wie auch Konstellationen des Themenparks betrachtet werden. In der Gegenüberstellung der beiden meist getrennt betrachteten Bereiche wird deutlich, dass zwischen ihnen mehr Gemeinsamkeiten bestehen, als gemeinhin angenommen. / Dissertationsschrift
