Über den Autor
Friedrich Engels (1820-1895) was a German philosopher, political writer, social critic, and collaborator of Karl Marx. His early study The Condition of the Working Class in England helped shape the empirical and moral force of Marxist social analysis, and his partnership with Marx produced some of the most influential works in socialist and communist thought. Engels supported, edited, and extended Marx's work, including preparing later volumes of Capital after Marx's death. Together, Marx and Engels helped define the language of class struggle, historical materialism, capitalism, socialism, communism, and revolutionary politics in the modern age.
