Änderungen sind nur zu erwarten durch ein Zusammenwirken vielfältig organisierter Interessenvertretungen (beruflich, zivilgesellschaftlich) mit dem Anspruch einer strukturellen sowie soziokulturellen Transformation der Kern-Institutionen von Care Work.
Care work takes place on biographically changing occasions in private and public contexts. However, the structural characteristics of care work are not compatible with the now imperialised formations of social domination over people and nature. This partly explains the endemic crisis of care work. It is not only an indicator of the current weaknesses of the welfare state, but reaches deep into the concrete constitution of the reproduction of social life in society as a whole. Changes can only be expected through the cooperation of variously organised interest groups (professional, civil society) with the aim of a structural and socio-cultural transformation of the core institutions of care work.
