WELL-CONNECTED AUTHOR: Through his work as a journalist, von Sothen has many contacts in the media world. He has also written for TV both at Canal+ and MTV, does voice-overs in English for luxury brands, and is a routine guest on the French radio station Europe 1 discussing all things US related. Incidentally, his father-in-law led a rock group in the 70s called Malicorne-which von Sothen describes as a "French Jethro Tull"-which still enjoys a cult-like following today.
