Über den Autor

Ivor Shapiro is Scholar in Residence at the Centre for Free Expression, Toronto Metropolitan University. He is a former chair of that university's School of Journalism, where he taught narrative reporting as well as media ethics and law until 2020. Shapiro's scholarship on journalists' professional identity and practice has been published in leading international journals and collections and he is an editorial board member of Journalism Studies. Previous roles have included chair of the ethics advisory committee of the Canadian Association of Journalists, principal investigator of the Canadian Worlds of Journalism Study, founding editor of [...], managing editor of Chatelaine magazine, and contributing editor of Saturday Night.
