Sociologists have agreed that ¿social life¿ refers to all aspects of human activity, including sexual relations. But digging in the history of social life throughout the Maml¿k era shows great omission of these relations in sources and references. Thus, this research aims at gathering information scattered in different sources around the subject of intimate relations, and introducing it in an academic form that records for these relations which prevailed in Maml¿k society, beside their perceived impact on the political, economic and social development in Egypt and Levant, and illustrating the aspects of sexual relations among sultans, princes, and the rest of social classes.
